Laguna Magdalena

A young girl, vanished into the mist one morning and never returned. A serpent rose from the depths in her place, and the waters swelled into what the lake is today. When the fog moves without wind and the surface stirs at dusk, locals don’t ask questions. They simply say she is still here. The waterfalls bearing her name are proof enough.

Laguna Seca de Ordoñez

One of Central America’s best kept secrets, buried inside a cloud forest at 3,700 meters above sea level. Ancient rock formations rising from the earth, endemic trees found nowhere else on the planet, and a lake that appears and disappears with the seasons. Laguna Seca de Ordoñez doesn’t exist on most maps, and that’s exactly the point.
